Congratulations to Matt Moore whose poster “Dynamic point cloud micro-Doppler simulation with validation setup” was rated as Highly Commended at the recent EMSIG Symposium (Electro Magnetic Systems Interest Group, aka the UK Radar Society) in London. Matt appears on the left in the photo below alongside Anum Pirkani of University of Birmingham who won best poster and Dilan Dhulashia of UCL whose poster was also Highly Commended.

The Symposium was a great success and being the first since 2019 it was very rewarding to see lots of old friends and colleagues and meet lots of new people working in radar. It was a busy day with a large poster session and several talks from industry, government and academia. The group was represented by PhD students Matt Moore, Aleks Vattulainen and Mark Bell, along with their supervisor Duncan Robertson – see below. Aleks also had a poster entitled “G-band Doppler Radar for Sea Clutter and Target Characterisation”.
