Successful radar summer projects
Two very successful radar summer projects have just concluded. Mark Bell worked on the repair and recommissioning of our solid state 94 GHz FMCW Doppler cloud radar and Fred Gibbs worked on the simulation and analysis of drone micro-Doppler signatures. The first photo shows Mark beside the renovated cloud radar enclosure (the large white box) which is behinda laser disdrometer precipitation instrument (on the tripod), and the second photo shows Fred on the right hand side helping Duncan Robertson during trials of our FAROS-E 24 GHz drone detection radar prototype.
