We welcome 3 new PhD students to the Group:

  • Daniel Sung, who returns having graduated from the School earlier this year, will be working on the development of a continuous flow Overhauser DNP MRI system.
  • Aleks Vattulainen also returns to St Andrews after pursuing a Masters at GeorgiaTech and will work on sub-THz radar sensors for autonomous boats.
  • Matthew Moore joins us having switched from working in finance after his physics degree at Durham to investigate the millimetre wave radar signatures of drones.

Daniel is supervised by Graham Smith and Aleks and Matt are co-supervised by Duncan Robertson and Samiur Rahman. We’re delighted to have them join us, and as a result the Group is the largest it has been for many, many years!
