Many congratulations to Yujie Zhao for coming second in the JEOL prize for best student talk in EPR for her talk “High power chirp inversion pulses increase cross-effect DNP enhancement close to the theoretical limit”. This is an international award made at the annual Royal Society of Chemistry EPR conference and is widely recognised as the most prestigious student talk award in the field, with many past winners now senior group leaders. This is very competitive where even making the short list (of six) is already a significant achievement. Previous JEOL prize awardees include our own Dr Janet Lovett in Physics and Dr Bela Bode in Chemistry.
